Living Philosophy Book
"Living Philosophy" is the title of a best-selling book written by Ray Billington, former Head of Philosophy at the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. The book, which is in its third edition, was written to encourage students and lay persons alike, with little or no philosophical knowledge, to benefit from the values of philosophical discourse.

To this end, and using the same rationale as the book, Hatti and Ray have established Philosophy Circles. All meet in the informal setting of a pub. In addition to Tintern and London Ray runs pub philosophy in the Rose and Crown North Parade Oxford on Thursdays at 1.15pm -3.00pm. |

The meetings are addressed by a speaker whose talk is followed by a discussion. The names of some of the speakers and the titles of their talks can be found on the "Speakers" page.
The phenomenal success of both Circles has encouraged Hatti and Ray to organize other events such as holidays and week-ends abroad, week-end seminars, dinners etc. All the information can be found on the "Events" pages.
Ray runs courses for Oxford, Cardiff and Bath Universities on such subjects as Religion without God, Existentialism, Eastern Philosophy, Moral Philosophy and an exciting new authoritative course The History of the Bible.
